Wow! Did this year fly by or what? With Thanksgiving quickly upon us, you might have a minute or two to take a breath, and do some thinking before you go into the last crazy push to the end of the year. As is my custom, I have some questions that I would
like for you ponder.
1. What are you thankful for?
Come on, this is Thanksgiving season. Have you taken some time to reflect on all of the wonderful things you have to be thankful for? “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie
2. What are you doing differently this year than you did last year?
3. What do you need to stop doing next year?
4. What customers do you need to fire now and not take into the new year?
5. What have you done to differentiate yourself from your competition?
You need to take a hard look at how you can make 2018 your best year so far. That means you’ll need to let go of some bad habits that are keeping you from reaching your best potential. It means that you’ll need to start doing some things that will get you to your goals. It also means that it is time for you to make sure you are known for something. That something better mean creating value.
Remember: Last year’s value-adds are today’s expectations.
